Venues
In addition to the nine music installations spread across the city, a festival centre in the heart of Nuremberg invites visitors to linger and discuss: The accompanying little hours of discourse will take place in a former bakery at Stöpselgasse 1 (90403 Nuremberg) – complemented by an info point and festival merchandise.
The exact addresses of all venues can be found in the map view as well as in the respective project descriptions. -
Overnight stay
Nuremberg offers a variety of accommodation options - from hotels to hostels, private holiday flats and AirBnB rooms. We recommend sticking to the city centre, but the outer districts are also easily accessible.
-
Barrier-free offers
The venues are very different in terms of their general conditions. The project descriptions contain information on the accessibility of the individual venues.
All music installations are multi-sensory works that enable multi-sensory, open and flexible perception and participation.
A sign language interpreter can be provided for the discourse hours on request.
Accompanying persons can attend the event free of charge. Assistance dogs can be brought along.
Under the following link you will find barrier-free toilets in the city of Nuremberg.

About
The ‘Musik Installationen Nürnberg’ festival will take place in Nuremberg from 23 May to 1 June 2025. It presents music in a special way: not as a normal concert, but as an experience in space.
There will be nine music installations at various locations in the city. These installations are like works of art that you can enter. They consist of music, movement and space. Some last only a short time, others can be seen for longer.
Visitors can move freely between the music installations. They should take their time to experience the music and the places. This also allows them to get to know the city of Nuremberg better.
The festival was founded in 2022 by Laure M. Hiendl and Bastian Zimmermann. Marie-Therese Bruglacher has also been part of the management team since 2025. All three work in the fields of music, art and performance.
The festival aims to show how music, space and people can work together. It invites everyone to discover music in a new way.
